Just after a newborn’s birth, the initial days are the most challenging and riskiest time for mother and baby. It is high time to take important interventions and perform some old but beneficial practices to reduce the chances of these risks and the better health of mother and child.
Bringing a baby into this world is one of the life’s most exciting and joyous journeys for a woman. But this incredible journey leaves behind an exhausted, anxious, and fearful mother with endless preparations and having a myriad of decisions to make.
The food we serve is a mix of traditional recipes with some contemporary twists to ensure that it is flavourful yet packed with the right type of nutrition required by new mothers.
All our rooms come with smart TVs that allow our guests to surf the internet or watch their favourite movies and TV shows online via Netflix and Astro. The centre has broadband wifi that allows guests to roam the whole house whilestaying connected.
To ensure that this time spent is both memorable and beneficial to the new mothers, we have a series of weekly activities that provide a good environment for socializing with other new mothers staying at our centre.
Using the latest equipment to monitor jaundice, our staff will ensure that baby’s jaundice levels are within control.
Our team of professional healthcare providers will monitor all new born babies’ weight to ensure that they are feeding and growing well.
Our guests will be able to learn how to massage their babies the right way. These techniques will be soothing for babies, while creating important bonding through the power of touch. A visiting professional will conduct the class and each guest will have the opportunity for follow-up sessions even after they leave the retreat.
Our little guests do not have to worry about bringing a suitcase when they come to stay with us. Zinnia Fields will be providing all baby clothes for the duration of their stay at the retreat. Garments provided meet a quality standard that will ensure the safety and comfort of the babies.
Zinnia Fields will be providing disposable diapers for all babies during their stay with us. While our professional nurses and caregivers are on hand to change diapers and clean the babies, the new mothers (and even the stay-in new fathers) are encouraged to change their new babies diapers themselves. This is to ensure they are familiar and comfortable with the task. It also creates more opportunities for bonding between the new mothers and their newborn babies.
Research has shown that the secret to infant stimulation lies in high-contrast colours. The development of a newborn’s eyes haven’t matured enough to perceive the values and intensities of multiple shades of colours. Black and white are the easiest for babies to perceive and interest in these starkly contrasting colours will pave the way for baby’s brain development.
Infant stimulation cards will help calm and soothe your baby while increasing concentration skills, enhancing natural curiosity, and stimulating the creation of brain cell connections.
